Often, before returning home, I would take a long and roundabout way and pass by the peaceful ramparts from where I had glimpses of other provinces, and a sight of the distant country.

Todays series is of the Arryl House ruins at Clermont State Historic Site originally taken at sunset Mar 18, 2010. I recommend walking a path that passes the ruins to the south and loops back around for an easy stroll through the grounds.

Since I'll be out of the area for a few days, I've decided to pre-load a short series each day onto my blog. Todays series originally taken
Mar 10, 2010 is of the Saugerties Lighthouse.

The trail is an easy half mile walk to the lighthouse. Check the Trail & Tides page for more detailed information regarding the terrain. An excellent way to spend a couple of hours/afternoon most days of the year.

Crossing a series of bridges along the path...

Last bit of the path; lighthouse in sight...
